CODE VERSE
The VVITU ACM Student Chapter organised Code Verse, a competitive coding event under the banner of SPARDHA 2K25. With the tagline “Where every code is an universe, and every coder a saver,” the event was designed to test the logical thinking, coding ability, and problem-solving efficiency of participants. The event has gained participants upto 1026 students from various colleges.

To ensure smooth conduct, participants were required to log in to the contest platform on time.
The event featured two coding problems with escalating difficulty, to be solved within 90
minutes. The competition aimed to provide a platform where students could sharpen their
programming skills, practice under timed conditions, and compete with peers in a fair and
challenging environment.

Registration for the event was conducted through a Google Form circulated by the organisers.
Participants provided their Full Name, Roll Number, Email ID, Contact Number, HackerEarth
Username, and Preferred Programming Language (C, C++, Java, or Python). Only registered
individuals were allowed to participate in the contest.

To ensure fairness and discipline, the contest was held in an individual format and monitored
through HackerEarth to prevent tab switching. Participants were not allowed to use mobile
phones, external devices, or outside compilers/resources, and were required to code only on the
contest platform. The duration was strictly limited to 90 minutes, and any form of plagiarism or
malpractice resulted in immediate disqualification.
The scoring system was based on the number of test cases successfully passed within the given
time frame.
• Problem A: 20 Marks.
• Problem B: 40 Marks.
• Total: 60 Marks.
Tie-breaking was based on submission time and number of attempts. Judges monitored fairness
and ensured accurate evaluation of performance.
The event gave participants valuable hands-on exposure to competitive programming. It
enhanced time management by solving problems within strict limits, improved logical thinking
through structured problem breakdown, and encouraged code optimization with diverse test
cases. Using the HackerEarth platform provided a real contest-like experience, while performing
under pressure boosted confidence for future hackathons and placement rounds.

The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students across branches.
Participants appreciated the futuristic theme and competitive nature of the contest. Code Verse
not only tested coding ability but also inspired students to refine their problem-solving strategies
and adaptability. With its engaging structure and impactful learning, the event became one of the
highlights of SPARDHA 2K25.
