The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Student Chapter successfully hosted a distinguished Guest Lecture by Mr. Paul Solomon on Thursday, September 12, 2025. The event, titled "AI and Emerging Technologies," provided valuable industry insights to the student community. The session was held from 2:00 PM – 3:45 PM in the Siemens Block Seminar Hall, drawing an impressive attendance of over 200 students. Dignitaries and Opening The event was graced by the Presence of key college dignitaries, demonstrating the institution's commitment to cutting-edge technology education.

The session commenced with a brief overview by the host, followed by an address from Dr. K. Suresh Babu sir, CSM HOD, who highlighted the crucial importance of AI literacy in the current technological landscape.

Mr. Paul Solomon then delivered his core presentation. Utilizing a detailed PowerPoint, he effectively illustrated key AI concepts, recent industrial breakthroughs, and future career trajectories for computer science students. The presentation was dynamic, engaging, and provided a clear perspective on bridging the gap between academic theory and professional practice.

The large turnout of over 200 students underscored the high relevance of the topic. The Principal, Dr. Y. Mallikarjuna Reddy, addressed the assembly after the lecture, commending the ACM Chapter's initiative and encouraging students to actively participate in such professional development opportunities.
