Event Poster

The 8 Queen Quest event challenged participants to arrange eight queens on a blank 8×8 chessboard so that no two queens attacked each other. They had to use logic, pattern recognition, and spatial reasoning to find valid placements within a 5-minute time limit. A perfect configuration ensured a direct win, while in other cases, the participant with the maximum number of correctly placed queens was declared the winner. The challenge emphasized logical reasoning and systematic problem-solving under time pressure. Participants applied strategic thinking and computational logic, mirroring the principles used in algorithm design. The room buzzed with concentration as students carefully tested different placements, demonstrating strong analytical insight and quick adaptability.
Conclusion:
8 Queen Quest proved to be one of the most engaging and brain-stimulating events of SPARDHA 2K25. It helped students experience real-time problem-solving in a game-based format while connecting theoretical concepts to practical reasoning. The event concluded with positive feedback from participants and appreciation from faculty mentors, marking it as a successful and memorable ACM activity.
