CRYPTIC CRIMES

VVIT GUNTUR ACM Student Chapter organized CRYPTIC CRIMES on Friday, October 6th, 2023, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM. This event was attended by our college’s First-year students. Cryptic Crimes is a two-level team event.

The event received a great response from students with over 100 participants

Round 1

 The first round consists of two games being played by the participants one game is a technical quiz in which participants are provided with a set of ten technical-related questions and they are given a time limit of five minutes to answer the questions, the technical questions are also provided with multiple choice options and they need to choose the correct options in order to secure better score

 The other game of this round was finding the culprit from a crime scene. The participants are given a set of two crime scenes and they need to analyze the crime scenes and find the culprit behind the crime being performed. The culprit will be one of the characters acting as innocent in the story. They are given a time limit of ten minutes to identify the culprit. The teams that score the most points combined in these two games will be qualified to the next level

Round 2

  The next round is grab the part game. Ten teams are qualified for this round. The game starts with a pair of teams standing opposite each other,poised to react when the instructor calls body parts like "knees" or "eyes." They need to hold the part they are told by the instructor. They
will continue to grab the parts until they are told to stop and grab the item placed in front of the participant. The final team to finish the game will be declared as winner.
